...coz they just felled another tree...
It's hard to miss this tree-cutting scene in front of Divine Word College of Laoag along the Bacarra-Laoag National Highway. Apparently, the tree was deemed hazardous by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources. The owners of the lot got the necessary permits, but, looking closer, I am not convinced the tree was beyond repair by tree surgeons (trained foresters who repair damaged tree trunks by cleaning off the decaying parts and filling it with cement. The national project is called "Oplan Sagip Puno".).
